Luton striker Morris: Villa defeat so frustrating

Luton striker Carlton Morris admits defeat at home to Aston Villa is tough to take.

Morris scored as Luton came from 2-0 down to level, only for Villa to win 3-2 thanks to Lucas Digne's 89th minute goal.

The striker later said, "I think we got ourselves back into the game and had chances to take the lead and that is where we need to mature as a team as it has happened one too many times.

"We knew we could come out of duals better and take the game to them, in the second half the performance has been there this season but it's just about coming away with points.

"These are the basic game fundamentals and we need to improve on them. Unfortunately at this level you get punished for switching off.

"We are confident on the ball and we have evolved since the start of the season."

On losing again, he added: "Honestly, it is hard to put into words and it's so frustrating, but that is life and football - we need to work on what we can control.

"Team spirit is a real strength of ours and we will get together and learn."
