Luton captain Tom Lockyer released from hospital

Luton captain Tom Lockyer has been given the all clear to get back to his life.

The 28-year-old fell when he was running backwards in the Championship play-off final against Coventry City.

Despite his side Luton winning the game, Lockyer had to watch the game in hospital as he went through medical checks.

Luton issued this statement on Wednesday: "We are so pleased to report that Tom Lockyer will be allowed to leave hospital and return home tomorrow.

“We would like to thank everyone for their messages of love and support for Locks and can't wait to see him back home at the Kenny with that trophy in his hands!"

The Wales international will be hoping the incident does not harm his career in any way.
