Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku wanted to storm the Manchester City locker room in the aftermath of yesterday's derby defeat.
The Manchester Evening News says Lukaku leapt onto the backs of Manchester United colleagues in an apparent attempt to enter the Manchester City dressing room at the height of the derby bust-up.
The row was sparked by United manager Jose Mourinho 's anger at the celebratory noise coming from the away dressing room, where players were shouting, singing and playing loud music.
It began with Mourinho yelling at City goalkeeper Ederson in Portuguese, and then shouting “Respect" when others got involved.
City backroom staff, including Arteta, were trying to close the door to defuse the situation and the Catalan coach suffered a small cut above his eye.
Lukaku was then seen leaping onto the backs of other United staff to try to get involved in the fracas, according to City sources.
