Lucas: Time for Liverpool to start beating smaller teams

Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva says it's time for them to starting beating the smaller teams.

It is not the Champions League contenders who are causing Liverpool problems this season.

Lucas, 24, said: "We've beaten Chelsea and Arsenal away and drawn at home to Manchester United but dropped points at home to Sunderland, Norwich and Swansea.

"If we approach every game like we approached the Chelsea game, we would be in a much better position than we are.

"We had to get three points on Sunday because we'd dropped them at home to Swansea.

"When we are away, the first thing we do is defend very well. We can soak up the pressure and we are always dangerous on the counter-attack, as we showed against Chelsea.

"But when we're playing teams that maybe aren't considered among the top clubs, we need to be on the attack all the time and always looking to score goals.

"The aim now is to find out the way to play at home and if we can do that we can have a very good season."
