Lazio president Claudio Lotito is adamant the club is in a good place.
Lotito was speaking at the 50-year anniversary celebrations of their 1974 Scudetto.
He said, "Once upon a time we were the reservoir of clubs like Juventus, who came and took players from us. This summer however we took two players from them, it had never happened."
Lotito also spoke about the stadium project.
"We are working on the construction of the new facility. The Flaminio? There are objective considerations that do not depend on me. It is a question of understanding the compatibility of the operation to bring it to 50 thousand spectators. We have an average of 45 thousand people, credit for this must be given to our fans, who are the strength of a club. As a boy I was always afraid of what would happen to Lazio, but now the club is solid.
"We try to connect sporting results with economic-financial ones. The great satisfaction is that Lazio is counted as a strong, credible, reference club. It was once a starting point, now it is a point of arrival and abroad they have high regard for our company."
