Lopez eyeing Chivas USA in MLS SuperDraft

North Carolina youngster Mikey Lopez is hoping he is selected by Chivas USA in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft.

The USA U20 international is being touted as a top pick in the January 17 draft and he admits he would love to be picked up by the Goats who have selection number two.

"I want to go to Chivas USA," Lopez told MLSsoccer.com. "From what I have heard of Chivas USA, I like what they want to do.

"Hopefully Chivas USA can pick me and I can help it improve in the league this year."

But whoever does take Lopez in the selection process, he says they will be getting a player who is determined to do whatever it takes to succeed.

"I've always been a defensive mid and that's my thing," Lopez added. "Hopefully they'll let me play my natural position, which is defending central mid. But wherever they play me, I'll play and I'll get used to it and adapt to it."
