Julen Lopetegui admits he's not heard from Real Madrid president Florentino Perez since his sacking.

Lopetegui explained that Perez didn't tell him he had been sacked.

Instead, it was director general Jose Angel Sanchez who broke the news after the 5-1 Clasico defeat.

"I didn't speak with Florentino and I have not spoke with him since.

"But, no bother. They're on their path and I am on mind," Lopetegui said.
