Former Ivory Coast defender Igor Lolo has paid tribute to Manchester City great Yaya Toure.

National teammates, the pair also played together in Russie.

Lolo, considering the Ivory Coast team, told Foot Mercato: "There were a lot of incredible players, really very talented. Everyone was strong. There were big talents.

"But as I always said, Yaya when you saw him playing, you had fun. You have the impression that with his body he cannot do certain things, but beware, it is a slow forgery. He was very strong.

"In Barcelona, there were good players, but he managed to stand out. But when he arrives at City, he shows everyone that he is an exceptional player, he scores magnificent goals, puts the ball where he wants, while the whole team leans on him. He is very strong, very intelligent."
