Lokomotiv Moscow president admits speaking with Spurs for ten weeks over Pavlyuchenko deal

Lokomotiv Moscow president Olga Smorodskaya admits Tottenham drove a hard bargain in the sale of Roman Pavlyuchenko.

It's understood Lokomotiv coughed up £8 million to sign Pavlyuchenko.

"Finally signing Pavlyuchenko is massive for Lokomotiv, we are very happy. The negotiations were tough - they lasted over two and a half months. Spurs really did not want to release him. We managed to agree a deal in the last day of the transfer window," Smorodskaya declared.
