Alan Pardew admits he has been pleasantly surprised by the form of Wilfried Zaha since he took over at Crystal Palace.
The 22-year old winger, who is on a season-long loan from Manchester United, has put in two solid performances in two Eagles wins following the appointment of former Newcastle United boss Pardew.
Zaha is certainly a fan favourite at Selhurst Park and the supporters would love to see him return on a permanent basis following his initial stint in south London after coming through the clubs youth academy.
Pardew admitted he was thrilled with how Zaha was maturing into a good player but was unsure if Palace would be able to make his second stay less temporary.
"I'm not sure about that option. What I do know is that he's a player that needs to get his career on the move again," said Pardew.
"He's had a decent couple of games and he needs to build on that. I think that is where he's at.
"He's a talent that needs to nail down a permanent position here, whether he's on loan or permanent, but I've been very pleased with what I have seen."
