Brentford boss Mark Warburton has lauded young striker Chris Long.
Everton loanee Long, 20, netted a double for the Bees in their 4-1 Championship triumph over Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night which prompted words of praise from Warburton who also saw Arsenal's Jon Toral amongst the goals.
Warburton saw Long score four goals for Everton's U13s against his Watford years ago and says he has monitored the Toffees youth academy product ever since.
"I tracked him (Long) all the way through his development since that day and I know what he is about. The same with Jon Toral," he said.
"Andre Gray has been outstanding for us, but we knew Longy would provide strong competition and today you saw that."
Former MK Dons loanee Long has now scored three goals in seven appearances since joining Brentford from Everton on January 20.
