Everton manager Roberto Martinez has heaped praise on Gerard Deulofeu as he prepares to return from a hamstring injury.
The 19-year old winger has been out of action since the December 14 win over Fulham but could be back in action next week.
Martinez admits Sunday's trip to Tottenham may be too difficult for Deulofeu to take part but has lauded the Spaniard for attempting to prove his fitness for the crucial clash.
"We have got the game on Sunday and we will assess him as the week goes on," Martinez told EvertonTV.
"He is fully fit from a medical point of view, it's just a case of making sure he is match fit and ready to enjoy his football.
"Gerard is such a positive young man and you can see he has missed being at Everton so much.
"Now what we have is a young man coming from Spain with an enormous talent - and with an incredible desire to play for Everton."
