Livorno goalkeeper Marco Amelia says he had no choice but to accept his axing from the line-up for yesterday's defeat by Palermo.

Amelia was dropped by Livorno management after seeing a move to Palermo fall through on Friday and the goalkeeper said after the defeat: "I saw the decision of the club and the coach and I cannot do anything but accept it, even if I do not agree with it.

"I have been training for four months on my own and without talking with anybody."
