Former Liverpool captain and caretaker boss Ronnie Moran has passed away at the age of 83.
Left back Moran skippered the club to the old First Division league titles in 1964 and 1966 and the FA Cup in 1965.
His son Paul tweeted this morning: “I am devastated to tell everyone on behalf of the family that my dad passed away this morning after a short illness."
The club confirmed the news on Twitter, saying they are “deeply saddened" by the news.
