Dirk Kuyt fears his poor form for Liverpool will cost him a place at Euro 2008.

The striker has been left out of Holland's squad for their friendly against Croatia on Wednesday.

Kuyt, 27, has missed just three internationals since making his debut in 2004.

And the ex-Feyenoord ace, who has not scored in his last 12 games for the Anfield club, is now worried for his chances of featuring in this summer's finals.

Kuyt told The Sun: "I need some time to get over this blow.

"I am extremely disappointed to have been dropped from the squad.

"I featured in 39 out of the 42 previous internationals for my country."
