Liverpool's Gerrard: I feared getting bad rep

Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard admits he feared getting a reputation of being a dirty player early in his career.

"I used to be a bit of a hothead, going into stupid challenges and getting sent off when I was younger," Gerrard revealed.

"That worried me. I didn't want the reputation of being a dirty player. I started wondering if I'd be able to tackle again. I was scared to go near people."
