Liverpool yet to make offer for CSKA Moscow's Honda

CSKA Moscow star Keisuke Honda is still on the radar of English Premier League club Liverpool but so far there has been no offer according to his agent. The 24-year old attacking midfielder has been linked with the Reds for some time now but nothing has eventuated in regards to transfer discussions between the club and agent Kees Ploegsma.

There were rumours circulating that Honda and Liverpool had agreed a verbal deal but Ploegsma was quick to nip that in the bud.

"No there is no truth in that rumour," Ploegsma told Sport.co.uk.

"There is constant speculation surrounding Liverpool, but the real situation is that there is only interest from them, and they have not made a firm offer."

But Ploegsma made it clear that his client, who is in Qatar preparing for the Asian Cup with the Japan national team, would love to make the move to the Merseyside.

"If he could move to a club like Liverpool it would be great, but the two clubs must come to an agreement first. The Premier League is a great competition which he would like to play in," he added.
