Liverpool are keeping tabs on Sampdoria striker Antonio Cassano's blow-up with president Riccardo Garrone.
For now, Garrone has indicated he will pursue his plans to terminate Cassano's contract - so making the striker a free agent.
Juventus and Inter Milan are monitoring the situation, while Genoa sources state the only English club to show serious interest is Liverpool.
However, the Reds won't move for Cassano if they can convince Manchester City to sell Shaun Wright-Phillips for a knockdown £5 million in January.
