Liverpool were dealt another injury blow when striker Daniel Sturridge pulled out of the squad for the Europa League clash with Bordeaux due to another injury.

Following the 2-1 win over the Ligue 1 club on Thursday night, manager Jurgen Klopp revealed that he is still waiting to learn any updates about the striker's latest setback.

He said: "I don't know too much about the situation because it was in the afternoon after training.

"It wasn't a situation I saw because we trained in two groups – the starting line-up and the other players. We can now start thinking about it, because we had no time, it was really close to the game when the news came.

"We had Cameron Brannagan in the hotel with us, a 19th man if something happened. Something happened, so we had 18 again. But there is no news – at the moment we have to wait."
