Liverpool U21 coach Michael Beale is convinced Samed Yesil can make the most of his FC Luzern loan.

The striker struggled with injury last season.

Beale told liverpoolfc.com: "Samed Yesil will now get regular football at a really good level on a season-long loan with FC Luzern under former Liverpool favourite, Markus Babbel. We played Luzern recently in a friendly and they have a lovely stadium with outstanding facilities.

"Markus was a top German international, so he is aware of Samed's goalscoring exploits with the Germany youth teams. He also still keeps an eye on Liverpool and we know he will look after him."
