Mainz goalkeeper Loris Karius is interesting Liverpool.
The Sun says Karius is out of contract at the end of the season and could return to England - as he used to be a member of Manchester City's academy.
It is believed that the German under-20 international will only move to a team where he is guaranteed to get playing time, however.
Simon Mignolet has been unconvincing between the posts for Liverpool so far this season and the 21-year-old could be seen as a rotation option in the near future.
