Liverpool must up their bid to land Southampton fullback Nathaniel Clyne.

The Daily Mail says Brendan Rodgers will have talks with Mike Gordon this week but Liverpool only envisage spending around £20m.

They have offered £8million plus add ons for Clyne so far but Southampton want £15m and Liverpool fear they may have to pay £8m for Danny Ings at a tribunal.

They still want another striker, namely £32.5m Christian Benteke, a goalkeeper and a midfielder.
