Liverpool are ready to deal in Schalke defender Ozan Kabak.
BILD says Liverpool have decided against making a move for RB Leipzig's Ibrahima Konate because they would prefer to sign Kabak permanently.
The Reds have opted for the Turk as a cheaper option, with Jurgen Klopp able to snap him up permanently for £18m, which would be considerably cheaper than Konate.
Kabak joined Liverpool initially in January on-loan.
It's also revealed Liverpool see Kabak as 'one of the greatest defensive talents' in Europe, and as he is already a part of the squad, doesn't need to get accustomed to Liverpool's system.
