Liverpool are expected to announce the signing of Loris Karius in the next 48 hours.
The Liverpool Echo says Karius will become a Liverpool player this week after arriving on Merseyside to finalise his £4.7m transfer from Mainz.
The German goalkeeper will undergo a medical over the next 24 hours after the Reds agreed a deal with the Bundesliga club. His signing, though, is unlikely to be confirmed until Tuesday evening at the earliest.
The 22-year-old will provide competition for current No.1 Simon Mignolet, after catching the eye with Mainz during the past four years.
Karius spent two years with Manchester City as a teenager and will, providing there is no issue with his medical, become Liverpool's third arrival of the summer, joining Joel Matip and Marko Grujic, who agreed moves in January.
