Sky Sports suggests that Liverpool are targeting Manchester City defender Kolo Toure.
The Ivory Coast centre-half is out of contract at the Etihad Stadium this summer and is a big chance of departing the Premier League runners-up.
It is believed that Brendan Rodgers is keen to replace the retiring Jamie Carragher with an experienced central defender and Toure fits the bill.
There has also been speculation surrounding the Anfield futures of Martin Sktel and Sebastian Coates meaning Toure, if he were to make his way to Merseyside, would be a very handy acquisition.
