Liverpool have launched a bid for Barcelona midfielder Alex Song. The Daily Star says reports in Spain have now linked Liverpool with a shock bid for the 26-year-old.
The Cameroon international has found himself sidelined at the Nou Camp and is thought to be desperate to leave the La Liga giants.
And sources in Spain suggest Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to snap up Song on a permanent transfer and has made an opening bid.
