Liverpool have tabled a bid for Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir.

Sabah reports Liverpool have offered €15m to Trabzonspor for Cakir.

They say that Liverpool were looking to sign Cakir in January, but his club rejected the offer.

It's claimed Trabzonspor's hierarchy decided to turn down the bid as they want to keep Cakir in their squad at least until the end of the season.

In addition, Sabah say the Super Lig club are hoping Cakir will perform well at this summer's Euros, which could strengthen their position.

His contract will expire at the end of June 2024, but Trabzonspor have the option to extend the deal for a further year.
