Liverpool are finding it hard-going in talks with Dan Agger over a new contract.

The Daily Mail says AC Milan will be rebuffed in efforts to sign Agger this month but, worryingly for Liverpool, the Italians have indicated a willingness to sit tight and meet the Denmark centre back's pay demands in the summer.

Talks between Liverpool and Agger's agent have stalled over a request for double-your-money terms of around £60,000 a week to renew a contract that runs out at the end of next season.
