Liverpool striker Danny Sturridge is delighted to be with the England squad this week.
Sturridge accepts he has a lot to prove to England coach Roy Hodgson this week.
Sturridge said: "For now I'm a work in progress, I understand I'm not a complete player and I'm gladly doing the work because I understand I need to improve.
"The manager gives you negatives and positives, which is what you need - you need the truth. You need people that aren't around you all the time to tell you the naked truth and when you get that it humbles you.
"You have to love the pressure, you have to want the pressure, you have to understand that to be successful you have to deal with it, you have to embrace it."
