Liverpool striker Danny Sturridge was delighted with his double in victory over Newcastle United.
Sturridge certainly showed he can fill the void left by Luis Suarez after taking his tally to eight goals in 13 outings.
He said: "I don't feel any pressure with Luis being out. I came to Liverpool to play as a centre-forward and that's what I hope to do.
"When Luis is fit he will come back into the team and we will move on from this.
"The manager wants the team to stick together and play as a unit, which is what we did."
