Liverpool striker Firmino reacts to Brazil World Cup snub

Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino has shared his heartache after not making the Brazil squad for the World Cup.

The attacker has not enjoyed the best of form over the past 12 months for club and country.

Firmino is often in and out of the Liverpool starting lineup, which has impacted his selection for the World Cup this winter.

Instead of taking Firmino, Brazil coach Tite picked younger stars Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, Antony, and Raphinha.

“Passing by to say thank you for all the lovely messages," the Liverpool striker wrote on social media.

“The World Cup is a dream for every player and with me it wouldn't be any different.

“Yesterday things didn't go the way I imagined or dreamed for my life but I can look back and have a grateful heart to God that he has already allowed me to live that dream."
