Liverpool striker Fabio Borini has rapped former club AS Roma over the dismissal of Zdenek Zeman. Zeman was axed as coach over the weekend.

Borini said: "There is always little patience in Rome, I will not say that I expected this, but given the lack of patience and what has happened before, such things could not be ruled out.

"It was the same with Luis Enrique, there were rumours he would be sacked, the club said he would be okay, then it happened.

"Why does this happen? It 's hard to say, Roma is Roma, there it is a pretty closed minded. Sometimes they do not want to listen."
