Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has hailed Luis Suarez as being better than Manchester United's Wayne Rooney.
Gerrard has lined up alongside Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen and Fernando Torres - in the days when he was scoring for fun.
Yet when it comes to naming the one who tops the pile, Gerrard did not need a second's thought - current Kop hitman Suarez.
"He's got everything hasn't he? He can score fantastic goals or tap-ins and if he gets you in the box you're in trouble.
"He is a fighter, he doesn't like losing even in training, and he's a winner. Luis ticks every box for me.
"I think him and Van Persie are the two best players in the league on current form.
"Michu's surprised a few and is flying at the moment but I think they are the two hottest centre-forwards in the league by a long way.
"Van Persie has done it for years at Arsenal. He's a top player and I love watching him but Luis is the best centre-forward I've played with."
