Liverpool skipper Gerrard struggling to make Man Utd clash after training setback

Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard is set to miss today's blockbuster with Manchester United.

The Sunday Mirror says Gerrard broke down in training yesterday with a recurrence of his groin injury.

And that injury heartbreak must make Liverpool's inspirational skipper a major doubt for today's clash with big rivals Manchester United at Anfield.

The Kop skipper, who returned to the team after a three-game absence in the defeat at West Ham last week, felt the problem flare up as Kenny Dalglish put his men through their final preparations at their Melwood training ground.

Anfield sources fear Gerrard is likely to miss the United showdown clash.
