Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard insists no-one is dancing on Roy Hodgson's grave at Anfield.
Hodgson's successor Kenny Dalglish has been met with a wave of positive emotion from everyone at Liverpool.
But Gerrard is full of sympathy for the way Hodgson carried the can for a shocking first half of the season. He insisted: "I found Roy great to work with and was very down and sad for him because he's a good man and I had a good relationship with him.
"The disappointing thing for everyone is that just one man always gets the blame and that's the manager. It's important for us players not to hide behind that."
