Atletico Madrid winger Maxi Rodriguez is excited about moving to Liverpool.

Maxi, the former Argentina captain, admits he has always wanted to play in England.

Maxi has agreed a two and a half year contract with a 12 month option for a cut-price £1million because he only had six months left at Atletico.

Maxi said: "The Premier League is incredible. I have played in some English stadiums and the atmosphere is unique. It is the closest thing to Argentina."
