Liverpool have formally secured Spanish whizkid Suso to a professional contract.

Suso has signed his first professional contract to keep him at Liverpool until 2013.

The forward - who can also play in midfield - put pen to paper after turning 17 on Friday.

The news will be welcomed Liverpool fans, with Suso already excelling against older and more experienced pros in the reserves this season.
