Liverpool's Martin Skrtel believes the club can bridge the gap on Manchester United but is hoping the league leaders slip-up in the run home.
The Reds are currently in second place on the league table, one point behind United but Sir Alex Ferguson's men have a game in hand.
Skrtel believes the pressure Liverpool are placing on United with recent good form could see things change.
"They are also in the UEFA Champions League. A lot of points are still up for grabs, and although they have a match against Portsmouth in hand, they will not have it easy against them," he told deniksport.cz.
"I just hope that we will stay in-form, they will slip-up and we will jump over them in the table."
