Joe Cole has stated that he would like to represent Team Great Britain at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
The 30-year old Liverpool midfielder, currently impressing on loan with French club Lille, has indicated that being one of three players over the age of 23 in the GB Olympic football team is something that appeals to him.
"I would love to play in the Olympics," he said.
"I would be very excited because it is in London, in east London where I started my football career.
"I love the Olympics, I love the sport. I've been trying to get tickets but it is very hard so I better get playing in it."
