Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish says all the credit for the great work done by the club during the transfer window should go to football director Damien Comolli.
The Frenchman was the catalyst for the summer signings of Jordan Henderson, Charlie Adam, Stewart Downing, Alexander Doni, Jose Enrique, Sebastian Coates and Craig Bellamy and also oversaw the 16 players who left the club either on loan or on a permanent basis.
Dalglish said Comolli did a mountain of work and should be applauded for how he has helped change the fortunes of the Merseysiders.
"Damien did a fantastic job. It was hard work on everybody that was involved in it," he said.
"I think since we came in 18 players have gone out. It's not just the transfer window that's been busy for us, there's been a big turnaround in players which has been very important for us.
"Damien has had a few days off which he thoroughly deserved!"
Dalglish added: "Some of the boys that have left the club were fantastic and not a problem whatsoever. They deserve great credit as well and we wish them well."
