Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is reviving his interest in Espanyol winger Albert Riera.
Sport says Benitez is turning to Riera after seeing Argentine Sebastien Leto have his work permit application rejected by UK authorities last Friday.
Liverpool are willing to pay £8 million for Riera, who has previous Premiership experience with Manchester City.
