Liverpool remain locked in Fluminense talks for goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga

Liverpool remain locked in talks to sign Fluminense goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga.

UOL reports Liverpool see Pitaluga as a long-term replacement for Alisson Becker.

Talks between Fluminense and Liverpool are well underway over a fee for the 17 year-old.

Flu have rejected Liverpool's opening offer, but the Reds can afford the fee that the Brazilian club want for the teen.

Liverpool have long-term plans in regards to the 17-year-old.

As well as developing Pitaluga within the academy, Liverpool would also like to loan the Brazilian out to English clubs.
