Liverpool are ready to deal in James Milner.

The Liverpool Echo says Liverpool are keen to hand Milner a contract extension with his future still uncertain.

Milner signed for Liverpool on a free transfer from Manchester City. That deal was due to expire last week but Milner remains on the club's books despite no announcement over an extension.

Milner is likely to have had a one-year option but these are normally announced by clubs.

And Liverpool want to reward him with a new deal after another impressive campaign.
