Liverpool are moving for Juventus midfielder Felipe Melo.

Juventus will end Alberto Aquilani's Liverpool nightmare by offering him an escape route back to Italy - in exchange for Brazil international Melo.

Tuttosport says newly appointed Juve boss Luigi Del Neri sees the Reds midfielder as a potential replacement for the inconsistent Diego, and may offer Melo as part of a deal.

It's possible that the two sides will favour some sort of swap arrangement, seeing as both players flopped during their respective campaigns, making it unlikely that either club will be able to recoup the massive outlay that they spent.
