Liverpool are being linked with Middlesbrough defender Rhys Williams.

The Australia international is a confirmed target for Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle, who worked with Williams at Burnley.

The Trotters hope to do business for around £2.5 million.

However, the Daily Mail says Coyle could face competition from Liverpool, which are also keeping tabs on the youngster's situation.
