Liverpool players can be angry then we quickly look forward to Anfield - Klopp

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that his players can only temporarily feel angry with themselves following the result against Villarreal on Thursday night.

The German manager accepts that his players were at fault for Adrian Lopez's injury-time winner in the 1-0 defeat in the Europa League semi-final first leg, but he doesn't plan on dwelling on those mistakes, and has urged the team to quickly look forward to the second leg at Anfield.

He said after the game: "If you think after this game you should figure out the different mistakes we made before the goal, do it.

"I will not help you, I'm not interested in goals. I've managed 16 years, how many mistakes do you think I've seen before goals? Unbelievable mistakes! I don't think about things like this, it happened, it was not too smart to be honest.

"In this moment, it happened, accept it, don't be worried about it. It's no moment for disappointment.

"If the players want to be angry for 10 minutes, do it, but then look forward to the rematch at Anfield, that's all."
