Liverpool have offered a long-term pre-contract deal for Milan Jovanovic.
The Times says Liverpool have offered Jovanovic a deal to join them in the summer, but the Standard Liège forward wants assurances that Rafael Benítez will be the manager next season before committing to the proposed Bosman free transfer.
Jovanovic, a Serbia player, is also attracting interest from Birmingham City and Milan, but Liverpool have made their move, offering the 28-year-old a three-year contract with an option of another 12 months.
