Liverpool are moving to rumble Tottenham hopes for Valencia striker Roberto Soldado.
The Daily Star says Spurs had an initial £17m bid for the Valencia striker rejected and made an improved offer of £20m last week.
But Reds boss Brendan Rodgers needs a big signing if Luis Suarez quits Anfield this summer and is weighing up a £22m bid for Soldado.
