Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara says the players were grateful to Alisson after his wonder goal at West Brom.

The goalkeeper headed home a late winner to keep Liverpool's top four hopes alive.

Afterwards, Thiago stated: "I have never seen anything like that. Goalkeepers have been seen scoring that kind of goal, but I have never seen it myself. I'm happy with the performance, but so happy with him. He has given us a gift.

"It is very important, because we are fighting for the top four and for him.

"He is nice guy, so important to us and it has been a hard year for him so we are very happy on his behalf."
