Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai admits the players know they must be more focused in the opening exchanges.

The Reds have been conceding first in games this season before fighting back.

"I'm confident anyway all the time but, of course, as we win the games and we can turn the games in our way, it gives us even more confidence," Szoboszlai said speaking to Liverpoolfc.com.

"It would be even nicer if we don't go 1-0 down and then we need to get up. If we score the first goal, it's a little bit easier. But if we have to do it like this then we are going to do it like this.

"We just need to be focused, we just need to be ready for everything. Also, we know what we can achieve this year, so we have to be ready always."

He added: "This was the main thing that the manager was also talking about – that it doesn't matter who is playing, who is starting, who is coming in, everything can change.

"As you see in Newcastle, Darwin (Nunez) made a big change. Also Harvey (Elliott) now on the weekend – maybe it was not his goal because they didn't give it to him but I give it to him.

"We have such good guys, a good squad and everybody is ready to fight for each other."
